Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
The student will be able to: - Understand and describe using the adapted nomenclature the different interactions that may exist between matter and the electromagnetic radiation. - Interpreting the results of the interaction between matter and the electromagnetic radiation to deduce information about the atomic and molecular structure, the electronic structure and / or to evaluate the relative concentration of the material .
Content of UE
• Quantum mechanics basics • Interaction of electromagnetic radiation with matter • Electron spectroscopy of diatomic molecules and polyatomic • Electron Spectroscopy of Nanostructures • Synchrotron radiation basics • Spectroscopic methods ( photoelectron spectroscopy, Auger spectroscopy, X-ray absorption ( XANES / EXAFS ) and energy loss spectroscopy ( EELS)
