Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
-sensitization of the students to the literary approach of the translation and to its particular problems according to the style, the genre of the text (prose, poetry and theater) and its epoch. -analysis of the linguistic, cultural and intercultural problems of this kind of translation. -development of the necessary critical mind and the specific abilities of the literary translator. -familiarization with the French literature of Belgium and the other Francophone literature.
Content of UE
-study of literary texts of different style and genre and practice of their translation. - Comparison of translations made by the specialists of this category. -comparison of translations made by other students in order to find either theirs errors or the solutions to the problems.
Prior Experience
the good mastery of French at least at level B2 for the productive competences and at level C1 for the receptives ones.
