Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
This course is as an introduction to philosophy. It is a long journey undertaken since ancient times, a sort of conquest conducted over the centuries by a handful of thinkers ( explorers ) who discover a new key to making sense of the human condition ... Upset our thinking the course ... is historical ideas, and more precisely a contextual history of ideas : how philosophy could answer the questions of his time, she was confronted with the emergence of new knowledge or political or religious upheavals? To philosophize is to share on the meaning of his life , on his commitments, the possibility of salvation , on the possibility of a better world, about human nature . Four important questions can be a good thread : what do I know ? ; what should I do ? ; that is it may I hope ? ; What is man? Socrates, Aristotle , Descartes, Kant , Nietzsche, and all others are essential references . Their answers are true or false , useful or useless, outdated or current is another matter . At each choice. But they have the power to tag the field of thought , provide concepts, explanatory models... This course prepares the students to become citizens responsible and susceptible to exercise their freedom and to answer it in the respect for the ethical pluralism, while understanding(including) the legitimacy of the social justice in a multicultural democratic company(society). Keywords: justice - the truth - morality - guilt - the good(property) / evil - virtues - reason - power - democracy - citizenship.

Examples: Philosophy, what is it ? A lifestyle . The three dimensions of philosophy. The Stoic humanism. Ataraxie . Epicurisme . School happiness. Humanism or the birth of modern philosophy . Descartes. Spinoza . Leibniz. Postmodernity. Contemporary philosophy. Myths - Christian philosophy . Kant. How the major concepts have they succeeded ? Etc. Topics: Knowledge of Self - Happiness - The Passion - Desire - God is dead - Atheism - Death - The Time - Leave the cave - Violence. Philosophic analysis of the tales (morality, ethics, symbolism, psychology).

Type of Assessment for UE in Q2
Q2 UE Assessment Comments
Study only the contents of the syllabus. The examination is in the form of a questionnaire with multiple choices: a single answer by question will be validated (quotation 1 or 0). Total level-headedness on 20. The day of the examination, the students will receive the questionnaire. The syllabus and the notes cannot be consulted during the examination. Dictionaries, telephone and computer are forbidden.

The students who missed the examination of the first session can present an oral examination.
