Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
This programme will enable the students to, whether theoretically or practically, understand and realise the various steps needed to organise a survey questionnaire. They will be able to: Prepare and plan a survey questionnaire ; Build the research subject of the survey ; Build questions of different types according to the survey objectives ; Administer a questionnaire in real conditions ; Collect data for processing ; Choose a data processing tool that fit the questionnaire ; Get a critical understanding on the results
This programme will also enable the students to have a critical understanding on survey questionnaires in general.
Content of UE
The programme is dedicated to building questionnaires, mainly on sociological or psychological surveys. It is divided into four parts: survey planning ; questioning ; data collecting ; data processing and presentation of results.
The content is defined in the book of reference (see bibliography), in the online documents and in lectures and in practical work sessions.
Prior Experience
Descriptive statistics (and elements of inferential statistics)
A good knowledge of French language

Q2 UE Assessment Comments
Written exam (multiple choice questions with negative marking). Closed book. 50% of the final mark. Group works during practical work sessions and personal written work before the start of the session (to be submitted on paper and online via the e-learning platform). 50% of the final mark. No individual or collective practical works nor personal work submission leads to a zero mark for the course at the session.The collective works are organised only once a year and are not organised for the second session. To be present at practical work sessions is compulsory.
