Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
- define the process of aging, the state of old age and the various associated concepts in the field of social gerontology
- understanding the concepts of social inclusion, social cohesion and the realities associated with ageism
- identify the needs, risk factors and protective factors encountered at the cognitive, psychological and social level by the aging person (diagostic and intervention)
- develop practices to promote self-determination, the quality of life of the elder and the services provided
- understand the issues associated with lifelong education and its implementation in professional practices
Content of UE
The course on "Aging and Social Inclusion" includes different chapters:
- Inclusion and social innovations during the advancing years;
- Old age and aging: definitions, terminologies and bio-psycho-social processes;
- Self-Determination and Citizenship in Aging
- Continuing education: perspectives for interventions
Prior Experience
The course does not require any prerequisites inherent in the flow of social gerontology
