Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Teach students the basic material to allow them to implement a security policy on computer systems and networks.
Content of UE
Basics of Unix on a security point of view.
Security of operating systems.
Security of software applications.
Network-related security aspects.
Fighting methods against different kinds of pollution (viruses, spam).
Cryptography and security.
Topical issues.
Prior Experience
(A basic knowledge of Unix is useful, but not absolutely required.)
A basic knowledge of computer architecture, mathematics, simulation, databases, networks and operating systems which can be acquired, for example, in the following courses :

According to the Studies Rules and Regulations (Art. 37: "Tout étudiant est tenu de suivre régulièrement les activités d'apprentissage du programme auquel il s'est inscrit, sauf s'il en est dispensé"), regular class attendance (at least 60%) is a condition for being admitted to the exam.
