Learning Outcomes of UE

The students will understand the general operation of search engines and will have the basics to use them effectively in their work.  They will be able to understand the basic principles of computer science. They will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the operation of a micro-computer (hardware and  software) and basic networks concepts. At the end of the exercice sessions, they will master the use of the MS Excel spreadsheet. The students will  be aware of the important role played by information and communication technologies in the operation of the organizations.

Introduction to the operation of computers.
Basic networks concepts (Internet).
Security problems.
Search for informations on the Internet.
Study of the MS Excel spreadsheet.
