Evolution and main characteristics of access networks; OFDM modulation to be used in the frame of fading, dispersive and impulsive channels (wireless, xDSL, PLC, ...); Performance parameters of a link (SNR, MER, EVM, PAPR) and diagnosis tools; Spread spectrums and applications; Advanced access methods (CDMA, OFDMA); MIMO communications; Principles of channel equalization; Channel coding (RS, LDPC, concatenated codes) and interleaving;
