The oral examination will take place face to face at the University. It will include open questions and analysis or comment of experimental results in the Neuropharmacology field. The exam will last 20 minutes and will be done in English. Your time schedule will be transmitted by Moodle examens |

The written exam will take place by Moodle Exam. It will include open questions and analysis or comment of experimental results in the Neuropharmacology field.
Content of Learning Activity
Reminders on Physiology of Nervous system: Neurotransmitters, Neuromodulators, Ion Channels, Blood Brain Barrier, agonist/antagonist, allosteric modulators.
Discovery and development of neurotropic drugs: therapeutic target, in vitro/ in vivo models, distribution, Safety/ Toxicity.
Pharmacological agents for treatment of Epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Depression, Anxiety, Sleep disorders, Schizophrenia, Neuropathic Pain. Addictions and their treatments. General Anesthesia. Drugs for treatment of Multiple Sclerosis.
Other pharmacological and non pharmacological approaches for treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders.
Neuropharmacology's limits. Next topics of research in neuropharmacology and challenges for the future.
