Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Understanding dielectric phenomena in solid, liquid and gazeous insulation,
Knowing the apparatus used in the generation of dc, ac and impulse voltages,
Applying the correct measurement techniques commonly used in HV laboratories,
Having an understanding in insulation coordination and insulation design,
Knowing the various tests on power equipment.
Content of UE
Breakdown in solid liquid and gazeous dielectrics.Generation of high voltagesMeasurement of high voltagesInsulation test techniquesInsulation coordinationDesign of insulation. Seminar about lightning. Experimental demonstrations and practical training in laboratory.
Prior Experience
Circuit theory, power systems, general physics.

Q1 UE Assessment Comments
Written exam with various questions about the whole matter. The objective is to check the skills of the students.
Weighting : Practical training (8h): 20%
Exam (3h): 80%.
