Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Linguistic Skills - Apply linguistic knowledge to the practice of translation or interpretation.
    • Be proficient in another foreign language.

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this programme component, students will master Polish at level A2.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages, as for receptive competences. They will be at level A1.2 for productive competences. They should be able to: understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, local geography, study); introduce him/herself and others and ask and answer questions about personal details; interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Explanatory reading of a wide range of texts. Explanatory listening activities, based on audio(visual) resources. Oral and written production exercises: written texts and oral utterances in Polish on various topics. Systematic and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary.
