Content of Learning Activity

Preparation for interpretation (and related) exercises; listening comprehension; rephrasing; structure of speech; speaking; lexical and grammatical correction; linking/transition words; terminology; textual consistency; prosody (pace, delivery, fluency, etc.). The speeches used in class are either authentic oral speeches or oralized speeches.
The AA consists of practical sessions and theoretical courses.
This AA is an introduction to the techniques used in sight translation and interpreting.
The attendance at the class is compulsory (at least 75% since the student's registration) in order to be able to take the Q2 tests.
Unless a student explicitly advises the teachers before the end of Q3 by email that he or she does not want his or her own work to be used, students' work may be used by the teachers for teaching and research purposes only and on a completely anonymous basis.
