Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Evaluate the complexity of industrial processes in order to manage these processes efficiently ; Design new technological developments ; Apply modern tools for the design and management of chemical processes ; Implement practical knowledge in the field of chemical technology ; Develop a critical thought, a multidisciplinary spirit, a synthetic approach of problems and show imagination.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Hierarchy of decisions for the design of a chemical process; computer-aided design (ASPEN PLUS software); methods for project management (PERT method, ...); process flow diagrams; piping and instrumentation diagrams; various types of equipment (pipes, valves, emergency relief valves, ..); metering instruments; safety systems.
