- Identifying running attacks
- Performing risk analysis to limit potential damages
- Applying intrusion detection systems (IDS) methods
- Applying intrusion prevention systems (IPS) methods
- Securing web and mobile applications
- Streghten a device/system/computer network (or a critical part) in case of attack
