Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
At the end of this course, students will be capable to
- use in context basic English grammar notions;
- extract information from science/pharmacy-oriented English texts;
- to communicate in English, in writing and orally, on science/pharmacy-oriented topics;
- work autonomously on audio documents (B1 level);
- build vocabulary linked to science/pharmacy;
- put into practice the basic rules of English pronunciation;
- create science/pharmacy-oriented works linked to their field of study.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
English grammar; pharmacy, medicine and science-related vocabulary; reading and listening; self-learning; introduction to pronunciation, speaking (role plays and presentations) and writing
Prior Experience
English basics (A2 level highly recommended)
General English 'cours interfacultaires' highly recommended for complete beginners.

1 grammar and vocabulary test will take place during term 1. If you get 12/20 or above in grammar or vocabulary, you will get an exemption for that part.
You are required to attend at least 60% of the lessons (6 sessions/11) in order to be allowed to take the exemption test.
You are fully expected to attend classes.

Not submitting the portfolio in May will directly lead to a fail (0/20) for Term 2. Nevertheless, students will have access to the entire exam session in June.
