The teaching of French as a foreign language is envisaged in its various contexts both in homoglot (migrant public) and heteroglot (non-French-speaking countries) environments. Notional and terminological clarifications (didactics, methodology, method, manual, practices, unit, sequence, lessons, etc.). Manual development procedures. Analysis. Contextualization and implementation (teacher's manual, student's manual). Analysis of textbooks from a cultural point of view (more particularly with reference to the culture of Belgium and according to the notion of gender). Transition from the textbook to the classroom (analysis of practices: teaching methods, interactions, etc.).
