Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
By the end of the course the student will be able to:
- understand in detail texts related or not to IT sciences at a B2 level
- express his or her opinion on any topic related to global issues and/or related to IT sciences at a B2 level
- exercise their discrimination when using internet tools and sites to further develop their language skills.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
This is a 30-hour course divided into:
>> 2 or 3 presential sessions of 3h each in Charleroi
>> 12 or 15 hours of online class time (TEAMS/ZOOM)
>> 9 hours of online tests and tasks/assignments, participation in FORUMS/APPS/PROJECTS (EUNICE...) indicated by the teacher
- vocabulary and grammar exercises
- reading (texts related to IT sciences)
- listening exercises (audio and video)
- writing and speaking exercises
-using IT tools and the Internet (wiki, blogs, skype, plateformes et sites d'e-learning), either individually or in a team
The course will be given online and face-to-face.

V-LANG-661 | Continuous assessment throughout the term Regular participation/input on the course forum: 20% Offline Moodle assignments: 50% Oral skills evaluation: 20% Class attendance: 10% If the student passes the pre-course test, he/she gets dispensation from the said course. The mark given on the pre-course test will be converted to meet the level of the final examination/ evaluation, as productive skills cannot be extensively tested. Students will be tested on: - listening and reading skills - knowledge and use of grammar and vocabulary - writing skills (summarizing/giving one's opinion on a given topic) |
