Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Have integrated and elaborate mathematical knowledge.
    • Mobilise the Bachelor's course in mathematics to address complex issues and have profound mathematical expertise to complement the knowledge developed in the Bachelor's course.
  • Communicate clearly.
    • Communicate the results of mathematical or related fields, both orally and in writing, by adapting to the public.
    • Have sufficient knowledge of English for basic scientific communication.
  • Adapt to different contexts.
    • Have developed a high degree of independence to acquire additional knowledge and new skills to evolve in different contexts.
    • Critically reflect on the impact of mathematics and the implications of projects to which they contribute.
    • Demonstrate thoroughness, independence, creativity, intellectual honesty, and ethical values.

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this Teaching Unit International Finance, the student will get a background needed to understand the major elements of the international economy. Particularly oriented towards the fields related to economics area, this Unit deals with the foreign exchange market and its arbitrage opportunities, options, swaps, forwards, the assessment of international risks, and the coverage of these risks. The student will also be able to cope with international literature, formulate a research question in the field of International and European economics, and articulate a personal approach, after a review of the existing literature on the field. He will also be able to actively participate in the discussion on a presented topic.
