Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Understand the modern formulation of general relativity based on the tools of differential geometry and the global properties of the solutions of Einstein's equations.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Complements of differential geometry. Cartan's formulation of general relativity and cosmological applications. Introduction to asymptotic symmetries via the study of asymptotically flat spacetimes in the Bondi-Sachs gauge: conformal compactification, solutions space et flux-balance equations, BMS symmetries.
