Learning Outcomes of UE
At the end of the second module of the master in translation, students will be able to: - understand and analyse any written message, however complex; - understand any native speaker as a result of being introduced to regional accents; - interpret an issue from their mother tongue into the foreign language, considering both its formal and linguistic constraints and the listeners own linguistic skills; - write specific and functional texts in the foreign language considering stylistic or format constraints; - communicate efficiently in a context of interlinguistic communication.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Analysis of and commentary upon written and oral documents commonly found in the workplace (business and trading firms, trade unions, finance companies, judicial system, etc.). Written and oral communication activities such as advertising copywriting, localisation of Web pages, nonformal interpreting and community work.
