Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
At the end of this programme component, students will master Chinese at HSK 3-4 level. They should be able to:
- understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning;
- interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party;
- produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

Commented reading of a large range of texts.
Commented listening activities, based on audio(visual) resources.
Oral and written production exercises: written texts and oral utterances in Chinese on various topics.
Systematic and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary.
