Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
At the end of this UE, students will be able to:
- understand the challenges of general translation and make the necessary research to solve those challenges;
- translate general texts in written and with a high degree of precision, in a correct French and in the appropriate style.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Written translation of non-specialized texts in Swedish, of variable length and style, with highlighting of the common translation pitfalls and of the intertextual conventions in the source and target language.
Oral translation, exhaustive or summarized, of shorter general texts.
Prior Experience
A language proficiency level equivalent to level B1 (as for receptive competences) on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages-scale (CEF) in Swedish (or in Norwegian or Danish).
