Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Through this course, students will be able to:
- identify and describe the main aspects of American popular culture;
- research and evaluate appropriate documents about specific American culture subjects.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Introduction to popular culture in the US through its genres, media and heroic figures (comics, cinema & animation, TV series, etc.).
Pop culture vs. real America: exploring American society through the lens of its most representative pop culture products, both historical and contemporary.
Prior Experience
The class is taught in English, command of English at CEFR B2 level is recommended.
