Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Cultural and Intercultural Competency - Utilise intercultural knowledge in order to understand, analyse, and contextualise in the practice of translation.
    • Be familiar with the political, social and cultural environment of the working language and the chosen foreign languages, as well as a sustained effort to keep abreast of all new developments in those areas.

Learning Outcomes of UE

Based on what has been learned in Levels 1 and 2, building up of the language knowledge through learning the language and the culture, with an emphasis on speaking skills.
Aim : B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
At the end, the students should be able to:
- understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. ;
- deal with most situations likely to arise while traveling in an area where the language is spoken;
- produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest;
- describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
