Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Master specialist knowledge in the field of economic, political and social sciences in order to mobilise it on issues related to political, economic and social environments.
    • Master and appropriately mobilise highly specialised knowledge and methodological approaches within of economic, political and social sciences.
    • Assimilate political, economic and social environments.
  • Analyse concrete political, social and economic issues in a multidisciplinary way, identifying future societal changes.
    • Mobilise highly specialised knowledge methods and tools in different fields of economic, political and social sciences.
  • Implement a scientific approach in order to carry out detailed research on issues within the economic, social or political field.
    • Master the different steps and methods to carry out scientific reasoning on complex or innovative issues in economic and social politics.
  • Communicate, orally and in writing, in a structured and relevant way.
    • Communicate and interact in a clear and structured manner, orally and in writing in French and English, on issues, analyses and projects.

Learning Outcomes of UE

The course provides an overview of the main forms of organization involved in social finance and microfinance in both the North and South

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

We will present the different players and products in the social finance ecosystem, starting with those who finance social finance intermediaries (foundations, crowdfunding, impact investing) and then moving on to present the latter (microfinance institutions, social banks).
