Content of Learning Activity
Theory for SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURES, URBANISMS, SOCIETIES AND DEMOCRACIES 1
1. Definition of basis concepts : architecture-architecte, theory-doctrine, source and participation (Choay Alberti). Sustainable issues related to modernity and contemporaneity.
2. Learn to see architectures et urbanismes (Zevi - NU and sutainablility)
Observation of architecture in its different dimensions: functional, technical, artistic, contextual, social, etc. Perception et architecture as part of daily life. Typology (Durand, Panerai). 7 important theories of architecture (Aron, Jencks, Alexander...) binded to le living world. Examples and tools for architecture analysis (what? How? Why? // signifying spatial-structure signified). Elements to awaken an architectural criticism. Application to a town and village and their links to sustainable objectives.
3. The Architectural Party (Alberti Merlin Boudon): the primacy of the modern idea confronted with sustainability
