Content of Learning Activity
Material properties (mechanical, physical, chemical);
Materials development processes;
Materials selection (role of materials in design, design procedure, selection strategy, case studies);
Materials life cycle (resource availability, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and links with sustainable development goals);
Use of materials selection and LCA software for architecture.
The course addresses climate and environmental issues and focuses on societal, environmental, and climate transitions.
