      Content of Learning Activity

Recent technical advances in the fields of molecular biology, genetics, and biotechnology have significantly improved the understanding of diseases, the development of drugs, vaccines, and diagnostic tests. This course will provide an overview of basic and emerging techniques used for the detection of genetic variants and pathogens (genome analysis). Students will also explore advanced concepts in genetics, which are essential for understanding complex molecular mechanisms. By the end of this course, students will understand the different experimental approaches and available experimental models, as well as their applications to biomedical research and human health in general.
