Content of Learning Activity
(0) Introduction - Principles of Health Education (1) Cardiovascular System (high blood pressure, cardiovascular risk factors, rhythm disorders, thromboembolic diseases, myocardial infarction, and heart failure) (2) Respiratory System (major pulmonary pathologies, respiratory failure, pulmonary edema, bronchitis and pneumonia, COPD, asthma, and other respiratory diseases) (3) Digestive System (gastroesophageal reflux, esophagitis, causes of nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, inflammatory bowel diseases, major liver pathologies and liver cirrhosis, pancreatic and biliary diseases) (4) Kidneys and Urinary Tract (renal function, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury) (5) Endocrine System (overview, diabetes and diabetic complications, diabetes insipidus, inappropriate secretion of vasopressin, growth hormone, thyroid pathology, adrenal pathology, and Cushing's syndrome) (6) Nervous System (migraines and headaches, epilepsy, stroke, meningitis, dementias, neuroimmunology (multiple sclerosis)) (7) Musculoskeletal System (osteoporosis, arthritis including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis) (9) Ophthalmology and Dermatology Essentials (major skin lesions, psoriasis, eczema, dermatophytosis, alopecia, urticaria, burns, causes of red eyes, glaucoma, decreased visual acuity) (10) Characteristics of the Elderly Patient and Coordination Needs
