Content of Learning Activity
Through a series of short texts, the course introduces students to certain epistemological positions that are particularly relevant to the (bio)medical field. Classical authors such as Georges Canguilhem and Ludwik Fleck will be used as resources. The course then examines the links between a 'good' epistemological posture and deontological and ethical issues in both research and clinical practice. This part of the course is based on a selection of case studies, which will be discussed at length.
