      Content of Learning Activity

Social psychology aims to explain how individuals' thoughts, feelings and behaviours are influenced by the real, imagined or implicit presence of other human beings. This course aims to introduce students to the conceptual, methodological and applied foundations of social psychology. Through a structured progression, it will enable them to understand how individuals think and act in social contexts, exploring key concepts such as attitudes (including attitude change), social identity, group dynamics, social influence, social cognition, social relations, social thinking, collective beliefs, and the phenomena of stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination. Drawing on empirical research and concrete examples, the course aims to develop students' ability to critically analyse psychosocial mechanisms and to raise their initial awareness of the discipline's areas of application. The objective is to build a solid foundation for the continuation of their education by promoting understanding, memorisation and knowledge transfer.

      Required Learning Resources/Tools

The course content consists of PowerPoint presentations (available in the ‘Social Psychology' course on Moodle) as well as oral explanations, videos and discussions during class sessions.
