Content of Learning Activity
The course will be divided into several chapters:
- The mechanisms associated with reading and writing and their developmental aspects: visual processing, written word recognition, syntactic integration, reading comprehension, spelling skills, graphic gestures
- The main theoretical models associated with understanding the mechanisms of reading and writing
- The neurological basis of reading/writing
- Written language disorders: overview of the main developmental and acquired reading/writing disorders
