Content of Learning Activity
The course will be structured into two main parts:
- the presentation of the main points covered by the code of ethics for speech and language therapists, as well as the legal framework governing the profession (Royal Decree of 20/10/1994 defining the title of speech and language therapist, the minimum conditions for the practice of speech and language therapy, and the associated technical services; Law of 22/08/2002 specifying patients’ rights);
- the application of the acquired knowledge. Students will be required to analyze various case scenarios (either fictional or based on field testimonies), to identify the relevant provisions of the code of ethics involved, and to propose appropriate responses along with suitable professional conduct. This part will also include collective reflective discussions on the different situations addressed.
