The course will cover the following topics:
- Language - communication: Definitions and history; delimitation of the concepts of communication, language, and speech; animal communication; the origins of language and languages
- Different approaches to language: Philosophy of language; Linguistics; Neuro(psycho)linguistics
- Components of language: General developmental aspects; phonetics and phonology; lexicon; morphosyntax; pragmatics
- Language disorders: Developmental disorders; acquired disorders; language corpus analysis
