Content of Learning Activity
Stylistic, linguistic and cultural study of Italian-language literary excerpts from the genres of poetry, drama and novels, methodological analysis of French translations, and consideration of the constraints and potential difficulties specific to the genres, or specific to the authors' writing. Translation of literary extracts, in parallel with the reading of theoretical articles on literary translation and the comparison of published translations; comparison of published translations with those of the students. Justification of choices and translation strategies.
