Content of Learning Activity
The course presents an introduction to the philosophical and ethical process, through a problematic approach to the specificity of philosophy as a reflective activity, a journey through the history and concepts of philosophy, as well as an opening to contemporary ethical issues. The course aims to approach the way in which philosophy can allow to reflect on contemporary contemporary problems, both general and related to the the students' discipline. The course progresses through chapters devoted to themes that address these philosophical concepts, showing how they can be used to reflect on contemporary issues: the individual as subject, the ecological question and the concept of nature, democracy, and ethics. These questions allow us to address the issues linked to contemporary ecological, social and technological transitions, which are explicitly addressed in the course. The pedagogical approach of the course (in which ex cathedra lectures are supplemented by exercises, group discussions, etc.) is designed to enable students to assimilate the conceptual and methodological tools.
