Content of Learning Activity
The course is divided into three parts:
1. Academic and professional preparation (prior to the trip)
Introductory seminar on economic issues in thecountry visited
Presentation of institutions and companies to be visited
Individual preparation (reading articles, files, visit objectives)
Creation of a mission Chat group + driving instructions
2. Economic mission (3 to 5 intensive days)
Institutional visits (e.g. for London: Lloyd's, City, EBRD)
Participation in a trade show if organized (e.g. for London: Going Global Exhibition)
Meeting with Belgian business representatives (e.g. AWEX)
Networking activities
3. Evaluation and feedback (after the mission)
Writing of an individual or group report
Description of visits
Critical analysis (issues encountered, good practices, cultural differences, links with theory)
Reflective feedback on personal learning
Oral presentation possible in class or in video format to be uploaded on Moodle
As the number of places is limited, the selection criteria are as follows:
- Covering letter (1 page)
- Demonstrated interest in international business, economics or business development
- Ability to represent the university in a formal setting
- Sufficient level of English
