Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Understand the concepts covered by the term environment;
Integrate the expertises implied in environmental issues;
Build up a glossary according to the expertises covered;
Approch and tools for understanding and reading environmental charactristics of a site;
Understand the environmental qualities of an architectural project from the concept of heat islands;
Use assesment and decision support tools;
Implementation with a case study.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Historical evolution of concepts in environmental issues (non exhaustive approach);
Specificity of environmental issues related to buildings, urban context and city;
From the territory to the building: recommendations, typologies and materialities of a project with a high environmental value perspective;
Approach on argumentation, prioritization and evaluation of the environmental system of the project;
Case study based on a real project site.
Prior Experience
Mastery of the architectural project and the open space;
Basic concept on the typology of landscapes in Europe;
Ability to restore a reading of the context of an architectural project and its integration into its urban or rural territory;
Mastery of representation and architectural composition tools;
Mastery of approach and project scales;
Good understanding of societal issues.
