UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Two research interships of two weeks in laboratories of the chemistry department. This work is a miniature version of what will be the master thesis of the student. It includes establishing the experimental strategy, bibliographic research and a measurement campaign.

Prior Experience

All subjects taught during the baccalaureate are of potential importance.

Type(s) and mode(s) of Q2 UE assessment

  • Production (written work, report, essay, collection, product, etc.) - To be submitted in class
  • Oral presentation - Face-to-face

Q2 UE Assessment Comments

The work is judged on the basis of a presentation in English in front of the chemistry department relating to one of the two internships. The members of the latter rate the students on the quality of their presentation. This rating is added to that of the promoter. The final grade is composed equally of: intership 1 promoter score + intership 2 promoter score + chemistry department score. In the event of proven plagiarism with aggravating circumstances of erroneous bibliographic referencing for the relevant part of the work, the mark for the teaching unit will be zero points out of twenty (0/20) and the file will be sent to the deliberation jury to decide on the merits of other sanctions.
