Learning Outcomes of UE

The general objective of this course will be to train students in the in-depth discussion of sociological issues, i.e., the ways in which a sociologist transforms a social problem or a topic of interest into a research question. These methods will be tested in the second part of the course, which will consist of fieldwork articulated around a general theme.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

The teaching will deepen the presentation of the main theoretical options in contemporary sociology (critical sociology, comprehensive sociology and pragmatist sociology). The aim will be to apply these sociologies to an object, alternatively the "passions" and the "city".
