Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Communicate in a structured way - both orally and in writing, in French and English - giving clear, accurate, reasoned information
    • Argue to and persuade customers, teachers and a board both orally and in writing
    • Give an effective oral presentation, using presentation materials appropriately
    • Use the English language to "advanced independent user" level, equivalent to B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
  • Demonstrate thoroughness and independence throughout their studies
    • Demonstrate self-awareness, asses themself, and develop appropriate learning strategies.
    • Learn to use various resources made available to inform and train independently

Learning Outcomes of UE

By the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- understand texts related to science and engineering (listening and reading comprehension– B1+ level);
- express his or her opinion on general topics related to engineering;
- write documents, describe a process and express his or her opinion on general topics related to engineering;
- put into practice the basic rules of English pronunciation.

The student will, therefore, be expected to:
- produce grammatically correct English sentences;
- develop fluency through productive skills (writing).
