Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Preparing for EMI (ENGLISH AS A MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION) and TOEIC.
At the end of this unit, students will have developed and reinforced their skills in attending lectures/seminars in English, on subjects relevant to their field of study.They will have to sit an external test (TOEIC), and demonstrate a B2 level minimum.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
The course aims to develop the students' ability to operate successfully in an English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) context, where content classes, i.e. classes which are part of the engineering curriculum, are partly or fully taught in English.
Building on the competencies acquired in the BAB2 course, this course will provide practice in the following areas:
Attending lectures taught in English on a variety of subjects relevant to the engineering curriculum, and taking notes.
Reading journal papers and/or textbook material related to the subjects of the lectures,
Discussing the content of the above-mentioned material or presenting it in class.
Quite an important part of the course will consist of preparing to take the TOEIC test.

Students must have passed the "English II" course
