Learning Outcomes of UE
*Demonstrate expertise and versatility in the sciences and technology *Formulate and analyse complex problems *Adopt an applied scientific approach *Innovate *Implement solutions *Plan and carry out projects in engineering *Master scientific and technical communication *Be a critical, reflexive and independent professional *Be a responsible person, in step with the stakes of society. And, more specifically, understand power systems in the steady-state; calculate a one-line diagram in the per-unit system ; write basic equations of a load flow analysis.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Main sections of the course: general introduction to power systems ; basic principles of synchronous machines, transformers, transmission lines ; load-flow analysis ; active-reactive decoupling ; reactive compensation ; power flow control.
