Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
There is a need for engineering students to develop a global perspective of the industries, technologies or policies they will be dealing with in the context of international trade, , multinational operations, companies, standards and regulations. Develop an increased awareness of international issues for the engineering world: the role of States, international institutions or organizations and their policies, international law and regulations. Students also have to better understand the expected role of engineers in the so-called twin transition (digital and environmental/climate), as one of the biggest challenges our globalized world is facing.

| I-POLY-531 | The evaluation methods for this course will consist of three components: 1) Final Exam – 60% The exam will involve the analysis of real-life written or audio texts, through which students will have to demonstrate their understanding of the content addressed during the lectures. It will not require the reproduction of theoretical content, but rather the demonstration of conceptual understanding and the application of information critical analysis skills. 2) Practical Exercise – 40% a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; }(held during the last two lectures – mandatory attendance) An international negotiation simulation will be organized based on a real-life international law text. The text will be explained to students, who will then be asked to defend the position of a designated stakeholder based on their own research. 3) Bonus Class attendance and intellectual curiosity will be rewarded through bonus points: Each session will start with a short quiz on international news from the previous week. This exercise cannot result in point deductions, but attendance and correct answers may earn bonus points toward the final grade. Proficiency in spoken and written English may also result in additional bonus points. |
