Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
The aim of this course is to provide students with general notions of molecular biology of the cell, allowing them to deal with more complex notions of structure and function of proteins, with a particular emphasis on the internal organization of the cell, the plasma membrane transport, molecular mechanisms of intracellular protein sorting and of vesicular tranfficking, as well as of the protein degradation by the proteasome.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
The following themes will be approached:
Universal characteristics of the cells;
Catalysis and the use of energy by cells;
Membrane structure and transport across cell membranes;
Internal organization of the eukaryotic cell;
Intracellular compartments and protein sorting;
Intracellular vesicular traffic;
Protein synthesis, assembling and destruction.
Prior Experience

| M-CGOB-302 | The active participation of students during the course contributes to the evaluation process. The practical works (TP) are compulsory. The access to the exam is conditioned by the presence at TP and the success of specific assessments. The results of these specific assessments carried out during the TP account for 10% of the final quotation (2/20). The grade acquired at the exam of Cell Biology theoretical course counts for 90% of the final quotation (18/20). Access to Practical Works will be conditioned by the acquisition of the specific skills included in the follow-up notebook and considered necessary for the successful completion of these Practical Works. Foreign students on Erasmus+ mobility can benefit from an assessment adapted to their language skills, such as an oral exam carried out in English or in French. |
