Learning Outcomes of UE

From knowledge and understanding of biochemical pathways in healthy, pathology will be studied. This will include both the abnormal values suggestive of diseases, but also the regulation of metabolism in particular conditions such as fasting, obesity, inflammation ... .. A particular focus will be on the diagnosis of pathologies and differential diagnosis leading the future doctor a probabilistic thinking. The clinical presentation and treatment will also be discussed.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Metabolic regulation and signal transduction
- Lipids: pathologies of transport and metabolism
- Pathology of carbohydrate metabolism (glycogen overload disease, hypoglycemia, diabetes mellitus)
- Biochemistry and Pathology of the organs.
