Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Control the molecular, morphological and functional approaches of normal and pathological conditions
    • Understand the learning of physiological and pharmacological reasoning
    • Integrate concepts from different approaches/disciplines in a complex biomedical problem

Learning Outcomes of UE

Students will master the functioning of 2 major systems and their integration in the human being: the  respiratory and urinary systems. After normal functioning, malfunction of organs will be considered. The final goal is to enable students to understand the functional consequences of a disorder or of its treatment.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Systems will be studied separately and theoretical notions will be integrated during practical work

Prior Experience

General physiology.

Type(s) and mode(s) of Q1 UE assessment

  • Written examination - Face-to-face

Q1 UE Assessment Comments

The evaluation of the UE is conducted through a final integrated examination (covering the subjects of the 2 systems)

Method of calculating the overall mark for the Q1 UE assessment

If the grade obtained in this final examination is equal to or greater than 8/20, the final grade of the AA is composed of 70% from this examination and 30% from practical work (grades from lab reports, group oral presentations, and final TP exam (see Moodle)). Otherwise, the final grade of the AA is determined solely by the grade obtained in the exam.

Type(s) and mode(s) of Q1 UE resit assessment (BAB1)
