Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this teaching unit, the student will be able to:
1. Become part of a professional environment, understand and / or participate in its functioning and the activities carried out there, interact with the people who work there or who use it, and respect the rules which are there in force.
2. Write a personal and original work on a given subject.
3. Orally present the main aspects of his work in front of a Jury and answer questions.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

1. Professional internship/complementary internship (6 weeks) in one of the following fields: - community or hospital pharmacy, - hospital service which integrates clinical pharmacy, - clinical biology laboratory - university research laboratory - public service, professional association, continuing education organization in connection with community or hospital pharmacy ...

2. Writing of a personal work on an original subject (= master thesis)

3. Defense of this work (Jury of minimum 3 people).The defense includes the oral presentation of the subject using a computer dissemination tool (PowerPoint type) and a meeting to answer questions from the members of the Jury.

It should be noted that the subject of the complementary internship and that of the dissertation are not necessarily linked

The student must submit to the secretariat the document attesting to the completion of the internship duly completed and signed by the internship supervisor.

To validate the TU score, you must both have successfully filed and defended your master thesis (in accordance with the instructions in force), but also have submitted all the documents for the complementary internship, within the required deadlines.
If the complementary internship (even if it is not related to the master thesis) has not been completed, the TU grade will not be valid until the following session

The complementary internship must have been completed.
The complementary internship, whether or not it is related to the subject of the original work (master thesis), is inseparable from the latter.
To validate the TU score, you must both have successfully filed and defended your master thesis (in accordance with the instructions in force), but also have submitted all the documents for the complementary internship, within the required deadlines.
If the complementary internship (even if it is not related to the master thesis) has not been completed, the TU grade will not be valid until the following session (note: in Q3, if the master thesis is presented but the complementary internship not validated, the jury decides whether or not the results of the master thesis  will be kept for the following year).
In the event of failure of the master thesis in Q2, the student has the opportunity to present his master thesis (written work and defense) in Q3 without having to repeat the complementary internship, provided that the internship was completed and the required documents submitted.
In the event of failure in Q3, the student will have to complete a new complementary internship and represent a master thesis (written work and defense). Unless written dispensation obtained from the President of the Jury for exceptional circumstances.
