Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcomes of UE

The main objective of this course is to make the future pharmacist aware of the misuse of drugs.
The specific objectives are to allow the student:
- Identify the drugs or combination of drugs potentially affected by abuse or misuse
- Identify clinical situations, family and socio-professional contexts at risk of abuse or misuse of drugs
- To reduce the risks of abusive or diverted use
- To adapt a good management of the risks of these drugs or combinations of drugs when their use is essential
To achieve these goals, the course will address the uses of drugs for entertainment or performance enhancement, as well as the intentional and inappropriate use of drugs. Through role-playing games at the educational pharmacy and simulation exercises, the student will become familiar with the good practices for dispensing drugs affected by abusive or diverted use in order to reduce the risks for the patient.
