Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Based on what they gained from the course of General biochemistry, this course will allow students to deepen their knowledge of the major metabolic pathways but also to integrate them in regard to pluricellular organization and to understand their interactions. At the end of this course, students will be able to:
-make the relationship between the structure and function of the molecules in living cell
-understand the regulations of metabolic pathways
-address human and pathological biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetics courses without difficulties
-use acquired concepts to solve exercises
-determine the molecular causes of simple clinical problems -do a bibliographic research to find relevant information on a pathology Students will master essential concepts of general biochemistry and be able to use the acquired theoretical knowledge to solve exercises and deal with simple clinical problems.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
The lecture will be set up on 4 main parts: 1. Metabolism of carbohydrates and lipids 2. Metabolism of proteins, amino acids and nucleotides 3. Interorgan and intracellular coordination and regulation of energy metabolism in vertebrates 4. Structure, function and replication of molécules of information
==> The lecture (face-to-face) will be associated with practical works (supervised work, exercises and e-learning)
